The color doesn't announce itself. It just sits there — a soft celadon that fades from near-white at the rim down into a deeper sage green toward the base. Natural light moves across it differently at different times of day. That's the thing about ombre glazes done well: they're never quite the same twice.
The teapot has a rattan-wrapped lifting handle and a low, grounded silhouette with embossed botanical relief on the body — leaves and stems pressed into the clay before firing, subtle enough that they read as texture rather than decoration until you look closely. The gaiwan, fair cup, and cups carry the same gradient without the relief, letting the glaze do the work on its own.
What's in the set. A lifting-beam teapot, gaiwan, fair cup, and multiple tasting cups — a complete gongfu configuration. The set comes in a clean white gift box printed with the phrase 用器物温暖生活 — roughly, "warm life through the objects you use" — which sets the tone before the lid is even off. It's a box that stays on the shelf rather than going in the bin.
The whole set reads quietly against a light surface, and holds its own against darker wood just as well. In photographs, the gradient picks up whatever light is in the room and reflects it back slightly differently in each frame — which makes this one of the more photogenic sets in the range if product imagery matters to you.
For daily use, celadon porcelain is smooth to the touch, easy to clean, and neutral enough to work with any type of tea without the glaze color interfering with what's in the cup.
Glaze gradient depth and tone vary naturally between pieces — each set is slightly its own.
