This is a teapot. It also happens to look like Godzilla.
The head lifts off as the lid. The belly is the chamber. Tea pours out through the tail. It works exactly as a teapot should β and it does all of it while looking like something that should not, by any reasonable logic, be sitting on a tea tray.
The sculpt doesn't cut corners. The texture across the body is rough and layered, built up scale by scale to give the surface real depth. The face has genuine expression β wide jaw, heavy brow, the kind of look that reads as serious from across the room and slightly unhinged up close. Both clay versions are fully realized: the reddish-brown reads warmer and more approachable; the dark charcoal version is heavier, more dramatic, and frankly more accurate to the source material.
It functions as a proper gongfu teapot. The pour is clean, the lid seals well, and the proportions are practical enough for actual daily use β not just display. That said, it will absolutely get displayed. No one puts this away in a cabinet.
For the tea drinker who has strong opinions about their setup, the collector who doesn't take themselves too seriously, or anyone who wants their tea table to have a story β this is it.
